Welcome to the URCCF website

The URCCF exists to give opportunities for church-going families from all Christian denominations to make better use of their caravans. Created in 1979 with only 9 families, it has grown steadily to over 40 units, welcoming couples, singles and families in caravans, motorhomes and tents.

In the early days, short three-day rallies over a weekend were the norm and, although longer rallies suit many of the retired members, working families including clergy are still able to enjoy short caravan breaks to suit their needs. Typically at a rally there is fresh air, fellowship and fun; supper is often shared on Saturday evenings and on Sunday mornings ralliers join a local church for Christian worship. The benefits go much further. Even when not caravanning and after “retirement” from active travelling, membership (£10.00 per annum) brings countrywide friendship, comfort and consolation. Experienced caravanners have on occasions enabled less confident travellers to venture further, to Scotland, Ireland and France for example.

The Fellowship is run by a small committee of elected members and has its own authorisation certificate to allow responsible rallying with the minimum of red tape. A regular newsletter keeps us all in touch with news of members and rally activities.
